David Hockney’s Visit
LEADING British artist David Hockney today visited a major exhibition of his work at the Nottingham Contemporary.
The private viewing gave Yorkshire artist David Hockney the opportunity to see his work from 1960 to 1968, shown together for the first time in nearly 40 years.

The 72-year-old arrived on November 3oth from his home in Bridlington and toured the £20 million art gallery in Weekday Cross, Nottingham before joining friends and members of Nottingham Contemporary staff for a celebration lunch in the Cafe.Bar.Contemporary.

Hockney, who is often described as Britain’s favourite artist, chatted to members of staff and described the visit as a “trip down memory lane.”
